The Latest Fashion Accessory?

The press have been very surprised to see a guy walking around CES with a monitor strapped to his chest. This isn't DisplayLink's attempt at creating the next fashion accessory to be showcased at the Milan fashion show next year, instead it is demonstrating the possibilities of wireless USB monitors.

The monitor was connected to a wireless USB graphics adapter which then communicates with the laptop, allowing you to display content on the monitor, which can be upto 20 feet away from the laptop. The monitor was showing a standard definition DVD to passers by.

Samsung Showcase Award Winning Monitor for Laptops


Samsung unveiled a new type of monitor at CES, specifically designed for your laptop. The new "Sidekick" monitor has no a stand on the reverse of the monitor, so that the display can sit in line with your laptop screen. This monitor extends your desktop area, and is available in a 19 inch, and 22 inch version. Samsung have shown a wired, and wireless version of this product on the show floor, both of which use DisplayLink's technology.

The product has also be named an honoree in the 2009 CES Innovations Design and Engineering Awards in the Computer Peripherals category.

LG Represents at InfoComm 08


LG showed off it's DisplayLink network display enabled monitors at InfoComm o8 with some interesting demos and this cool 'Daisy Chain' graphic.

Look for the LG Flatronwide L206WU displays in both the US and Europe.
